Life Via Air Mail Pad (251mm x 178mm) - Plain

This is a really interesting paper- incredibly thin, but it seems to have a bit of a coating so that even my wettest inks don’t bleed through. It’s neat for letter writing since it has that true vintage feel, but there’s also so many other things that you can do with super thin but strong paper! For fountain pen users, this is a fantastic choice for letter writing. While only one side of each page can be used because of how transparent it is, the paper shows off ink characteristics like shading and sheen really well! It’s also a pretty good dollar value for Life brand paper.

Excellent paper! It works well with a very wet ink (Noodler's) or a more typical fountain pen ink. You may want to buy more than one pad at a time because you will love it and won't want to use anything else!

I bought this air mail paper with caution, and am so pleased with how this paper performs. I wrote letters with a Lamy Safari 1.1 nib and with a TWSBI Eco medium nib. The paper was perfectly smooth to write on and the ink dried quickly. I love how the ink looks on the transluscent paper. It would also work very well as a tracing paper to practice writing (calligraphy for example), in my opinion.
