I didn’t know I needed a blue ink until now

Since getting into fountain pens, I’ve enjoyed using all the non-common ink colours that I didn’t find often in ballpoints. A classic blue seemed boring.
I have never been so wrong.
I got a sample of Aonibi on a whim, mostly to try a new ink company, and it turned into a total love affair. The shading is spectacular, almost like watercolour paints, and it has a beautiful, vintage look to the slightly grey-toned blue. It does write much drier than most inks I’ve tried, but not in a scratchy way, and never had trouble starting to write. It just dries quickly on the page and doesn’t leave excess ink while I’m writing. This actually makes it really practical for on-the-go writing for me, and it has behaved exceptionally well on every paper I’ve used it on. The colour reminds me of indigo-dyed textiles, and I will definitely be upgrading to a full bottle.
