The Superior Labor Leather Portfolio - Dark Brown (A5)

My introduction to SL also came by way of the pen roll, in light brown leather. When I found these on this site, I knew I had to have one. This is a gorgeous collaboration and one-of-a-kind. I’ve used similar items, in canvas, before now, but love SL’s craftsmanship and the pliable leather. I waited a year before ordering and now made the leap because I think we need to support the kinds of stores we want to be around after the pandemic. The leather is soft but sturdy; the zipper is solid; the stitching is first rate. Easily fits an A5 Moleskine or Leuchtturm notebook or even a Traveler’s Notebook. The wider pocket on the front holds post cards, a Field Notes notebook, or other paraphernalia. The smaller pocket will hold 2 medium-width pens or probably one fat Waterman. The inside pocket stretches the full width and holds full size (American, 8.5 x 11) paper folded in half. In all this is a beautiful piece of work and a fine companion or journaling.

I previously purchased a Superior Labour pen roll. I was impressed with the quality and workmanship. When I saw this product, I was immediately smitten.

I like A5 notebooks for travel because of the handy size. This was exactly the product I was looking for. Yes it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. It will easily last several lifetimes if taken care of. High quality leather with excellent stitching and workmanship.

I am happy I purchased this item and would do it again in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed.
