Description

Noodler's 90 mL Dark Matter fountain pen ink.

Noodler's famous catfish makes appearances on several of their unusually designed bottles. Also in Noodler's line are unique bottles and colours, some with politically influenced themes. Be careful as you open these bottles, as Noodler's fills these to the brim to make sure you get every drop you pay for. Their larger bottle sizes ensure that you have enough ink to write your memoirs without needing another visit to Wonder Pens.

Great Black July 29, 2017

Got a sample of this ink and used it in a Pilot Metropolitain Fine. Loved it. I used it almost exclusively in a Hobonichi Techo for journaling, which was a wonderful experience, but it fared quite well on everything from Rhodia and Clairefontaine to plain 'ole Hilroy paper. Would definitely recommend!

Good, dry black June 24, 2017

Good basic black. Specifically this black is very well behaved on cheap paper especially with a fine to extra fine nib. Doesn't bleed through or pool or anything. With that being said the downside is it writes quite dry and can seem scratchy.

Good Basic Black May 13, 2017

I love the physics theme and the whole story behind this ink. That being said it isn't very special (as special as blacks can be). It is dark enough, although dry nibs may get a much more grey colour (still black though).

It behaves fine and has great flow, it is relatively behaved on cheap hilroy paper with a little bit of feathering.

The value is great however, a 90ml bottle of this ink will last you forever and its such a nice even black it works for all those who aren't looking for much more than a black.

If you want a black with a story behind it and if you love physics then get it.

UPDATE: After trying it with more pens I have found that it doesn't lime dryer feeds so be aware.
