Noodler's 90mL Tiananmen fountain pen ink.

Noodler's famous catfish makes appearances on several of their unusually designed bottles. Also in Noodler's line are unique bottles and colours, some with politically influenced themes. Be careful as you open these bottles, as Noodler's fills these to the brim to make sure you get every drop you pay for. Their larger bottle sizes ensure that you have enough ink to write your memoirs without needing another visit to Wonder Pens.

A Beautiful Red August 20, 2017

I'm in love with this ink. The shade of red is just perfect for me, nice and deep, a little dark, but still vibrant. Almost like a somewhat dried blood (not to the point of browning.) Also an interesting theme for the bottle with tank man on the front, very iconic.

True Red February 25, 2017

A very true red. Doesn't lean brown or anything like that. Shades very slightly in a wet nib. Isn't especially memorable, but still nice.

Great ink. January 10, 2015

Love the colour - a deep red.  Great for marking.  The ink, like other Noodler's inks I've used flows well.

Too brick-red for my taste. July 23, 2014

Tiananmen is a warm brick-red shade, sort of rusty-red like drying blood. I liked the idea of using this ink to mark my students' Macbeth essays for that reason, but in the end I kept shopping until I found Noodler's Eel Red Rattler, which is a true bright red without shading towards rust/ brown tones. To be fair, this has more to do with my colour preference only; the ink itself behaved quite well.
