Smooth Operator May 7, 2019

Purchased this with an Extra Fine nib a few years ago and it is my daily office pen. I love the molded grip, the smoothness of the nib especially for an EF, and the matte finish on the pen. I just purchased a 1.5 stub nib to swap out for fun, which is a great feature with the Lamy Safari pens.

My EDC pen April 8, 2018

This pen writes so smooth and effortlessly. The nib is not scratchy at all (I have the 1.1mm nib). You can get a great variation of lines depending on how you hold the pen. This is a great EDC pen that works right out of the box. I highly recommend this pen, you’ll love it!

Great Starter Pen March 4, 2017
Reviewer: Philip from Parkhill, On Canada
The pen is great for someone new to fountain pens because it has a triangular grip section that causes you to retain the correct writing position. The nib is nice and smooth and remains nice and wet. I like the pen so much I am going to get a second one to keep inked up with a different colour!

Great pen for the price February 10, 2017

I bought this pen as my starter pen after using Pilot Kakuno for a few months, and it's beyond my expectations.

I have chosen the Lamy fine nib, it's a lot smoother than my current Pilot nib, which helps me write a lot smoother than before.
(Note that the Lamy nibs are a tiny little wider than the Pilot nibs. My Lamy Fine nib is probably a medium for the Pilot Kakuno nib.)

The ink flow is also quite well however skipping occurs sometimes, probably due to it being a new pen that I just started using. Hopefully it will slowly fix later on.

For the appearance, the pen is matte and entirely black, giving it a fashionable and clean kind of style to it. It would be in my regular pen case for the rest of my school life.

I would highly recommend this pen for people who wants to try out fountain pens in the future. :)

My Go-To Pen August 11, 2016
Reviewer: Rachelle from Timmins, ON Canada
I absolutely adore this pen! I love the color, I love the weight (light, but not too light). I got the EF nib, and realized I prefer the F nib, so I will probably swap it later on. Using it with the converter and bottled ink, and it works like a dream. Definitely a great purchase.
