Kaweco Brass Sport Fountain Pen

The classic sport design with a beautiful raw brass finish which will obtain a patina over time.

Named aptly as their "classic" fountain pen, this pen has been an icon of the Kaweco brand. This brass version is the heaviest finish. This fountain pen has a steel nib and iridium tip for extra smooth writing. Brass model should not be converted into the eye-dropper method as the ink can react with the metal.

Compatible with Kaweco cartridges.
Converter now available separately.
Clip available sold separately.

4 of 5 Lovely March 16, 2019

I coveted this pen for years, I have always used the Kaweco's as my daily writers but wanted something special. The heft and size of the brass feels perfect, the workmanship is fantastic on these and you can tell a lot of care is taken on the machining. They age really nicely, BUT IF YOU GET INK STAINS ON THE BRASS and want to take them out: Get some 00 steel wool and rub it gently on the surface, this will renew and remove all the ink that seeped into the brass. You can use the same trick if you want to get rid of the patina or bring it back to the "as new" look. The "fine" nibs from Kaweco need some tweaking, but can also be replaced for something else. Almost a 5/5, too bad about the nib but that's a personal preference.

3 of 5 Great pen, not so great nib December 25, 2018
Reviewer: Jean-Pierre from Trois-Rivières, QC Canada
Got this lovely pen for Christmas. What a joy to hold it in my hands. It quickly warms to the touch and feels so great to write with it until the nib dries out... As another reviewer indicated regarding the pen she received, my nib is extra dry even after flushing it a few times. I will definitely try to mess with it and if I can't get it to work properly, I will just order another nib. Or two...

5 of 5 Awesome feeling pen June 28, 2016

I love the look and feel of this brass pen. I can't stop picking it up just to feel it in my hands. It has a nice weight and feels quite solid. The extra fine nib is not quite as fine as I like compared to the Japanese-style nibs that I generally prefer, but it writes very smoothly and ink flows well.

The brass is oh so solid. After a few months develops a lovely patina. Warm in your hand. The regular Sports are nice pens, but this is something special.

4 of 5 Love it November 23, 2015

I have a Pilot pen that writes like a dream but feels cheap (well, it is cheap.  A great bargain). I had read good things about Kaweco so I went in to Wonderpens to get a feel for them.  Both the Sport and Sport AL are lightweight - a bit too light weight for what I was hoping for.  I was told the brass ones would be in the next week.  I waited a week and was glad I did.  The heft of the pen was just what I was looking for.  It feels great in the hand.  The nib (fine) needed some work, though. I flushed it twice, but it still was dry.  Skipped, some railroading. I removed the nib and it seemed as though there may have been something between the tines of the nib. Nibs aren't so expensive so I took a chance and tried scraping out what was between the tines. It was much improved after I worked on it. It's now a great pen for me - just what I was looking for.  1 star off because I had to fiddle with the nib.
