Similar to the J. Herbin 1670 inks, these inks feature micro particles of glitter (possibly fairy dust) which shimmer and shine.
These inks are part of a line of 32 shimmer inks by Diamine. The shimmer's colour (silver or gold) is identified by the colour of the bottle cap.

As with any shimmering ink, one needs to be careful since not all fountain pens work well with such inks. A Lamy is not great for shimmering inks, but a Parker, Brunnen or Preppy seem to work wonders. This ink is exactly as I expected it to be. It's simply amazing! The sheen from yellow to orange (the shimmer giving it a coral look) is just exquisite! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

4 of 5 Great for short-term use March 18, 2018

This is a beautiful ink, despite my annoyance with it. My main mistake with this ink was using it for long-term writing, and in a notebook with bleed-through. It's a light ink already, so the bleed makes it incredibly hard to read. On top of that, I had a lot of stop and start with it in my Pilot Metro (Orange Retro). I'm not quite sure whether that's because of the ink's wetness level, or the shimmer particles clogging it, or something else entirely. But in the end, all of those things added up to a rather poor experience writing with it.

However, as an accent ink or for short-term writing, I think it's stunning. The shading is beautiful and the shimmer really adds to that effect. It's also an awesome pairing with the Orange Pilot Metro.

It's not entirely the ink's fault that my experience was poor, but in the end it does have serious limitations, so I give it only four stars.
